How to Live Healthy in “Our Toxic World”
Every day, every hour, every moment we are alive, we are exposed to an array of chemicals that wreak havoc on our health. From the air we breathe to the water we drink, these toxins saturate our environment. They are in our homes, our schools, our workplaces, and in the products we use—seen and unseen, putting all of us at risk.
“Our Toxic World” offers strategies for keeping you and your loved ones out of harm’s way, and will help you to truly live healthy in our toxic world. Not only will you will learn how chemicals play a major role in causing many of today's health challenges, including the widespread epidemics of ADHD, cancer, fatigue, headaches, obesity, early puberty, sterility, brain defects, and muscle and visual problems, you will learn how to determine if chemicals are making you sick and what you can do about it.
We are dedicated to helping people achieve the health and well-being they desire, which is why we created the most important Essentials for Health and Wellness. It is only when your life is in balance physically, emotionally, and spiritually, that you will enjoy true wellness. And once you are in this state of well-being, you can use your newfound health, energy, and perspective to accomplish your life goals and purpose.
Our goal is to inspire our patients to live well, and to teach them how to incorporate good nutritional habits into their busy lives. We start by having every new client keep a five-day food diary, which we then use as a baseline for guiding them through the process of making diet and lifestyle changes that will help their bodies heal.
The Connection between Brain and Gut Health
The human gastrointestinal system plays a huge role in our overall health. In fact, our intestines contain more immune cells than the entire rest of our body. Thus, it should come as no surprise that nutritional deficiencies, food allergies, and food sensitivities affect a host of conditions, including infertility, irritable bowel, constipation, acid reflux, cancer, fatigue, autoimmune disorders, allergies, chronic urinary tract infections, acne, anxiety, depression, insomnia, pain, mood swings, ADD/ADHD . . .
Women’s Health addresses topics such as breast health, skin care, hormones and menopause, osteoporosis, and bringing awareness to the most common health risks women face.
