Craniosacral Therapy and Reiki are gentle, non-invasive techniques that are based on the principle that our bodies know how to heal themselves. The practitioner listens to the body through palpation, then allows or introduces movement, which will release restrictions. Restrictions are caused by physical or emotional traumas held in cellular memory. The body can essentially “freeze” many kinds of injuries and hold on to them until they are released. Common examples include neck injuries from car By complimenting the body’s natural healing processes, craniosacral therapy is increasingly used as a preventative health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction, including:

Pamela Yenawine Gentle-touch, whole body CranioSacral therapy supports the release of tension and restrictions in the Central Nervous System allowing all other body systems to self correct. ! Since 2001, Pam has provided support for men, women and children, helping them release pain, trauma and restriction resulting in better sleep, better digestion, more energy, better functioning of body systems, reduced anxiety and tension and overall improvement in health. Her passion is working with pregnant moms, babies and children and especially helping mom and newborn baby both prepare for and release the stress and tension of birth to allow the full play of the natural hormones that support bonding and attachment. Her training as a Birth Doula helps her utilize CST to gently address the unseen trauma of birth in babies, especially those whose birth was Cesarean. Releasing restrictions in the soft tissues especially of the head and neck will help baby’s latch, digestion, elimination and sleep. Moms have found that CST alleviates many of the symptoms of postpartum depression. Visceral Manipulation is a gentle way to nudge organs to regain full motion and mobility within the layers of connective tissue in the body. Restoring the full motion of an organ and its connective tissues allows for optimum functioning of that organ system and promotes overall health and wellness. Pam is Techniques Certified, and by the end of 2011 will be Diplomate Certified by the Upledger Institute. She has completed the Visceral Manipulation curriculum with the Barral Institute. |
